Kacip fatima and date rape

Version 1.0, August 2004:, Jefferson Griuen

There is one fact that strongly sets kacip fatima apart from tongkat ali.

While tongkat ali is so terribly bitter that it is hard to drink the extract, kacip fatima has a pleasant taste. Actually, comparatively high dosages of kacip fatima, boiled as tea, have a taste that is so similar to the taste of green tea that the two are indeed very hard to distinguish, taste-wise.

But the similarity to green tea ends with the taste. Kacip fatima does not contain the caffeine or theobromine of green tea. Kacip fatima doesn't keep awake, and it also is not a diuretic. Kacip fatima is also not vaso-constrictive. Therefore, while having a very similar taste as tea, kacip fatima has none of the anti-sexual effects of green tea (or black tea, or coffee).

I have always slept very well after drinking kacip fatima tea in the evening. Sometimes, I slept just like a stone.

Does kacip fatima have the potential of a date rape drug? Unfortunately, yes. But only if a girl or women accepts a drink that is said to be fresh or refrigerated green tea. But as far as date rape drugs go, kacip fatima is by far not as dangerous as some chemical substances used for the purpose. Kacip fatima doesn't cause unconsciousness and amnesia in women or girls who become abused. Actually, kacip fatima does not promote sexual intercourse against a woman's consent. But it may tilt a conscious decision of a girl or woman to agree to sexual intercourse, simply because the herb facilitates sexual desire.
